Jamie Oliver - Flavour Shaker

Best herb marinade


Serves 4

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary leaves
1 teaspoon
dried thyme
optional: a pinch of lavender flowers or leaves
3 fresh bay leaves
1 teaspoon
rock salt

½ teaspoon
black peppercorns
1 clove
garlic, peeled
zest and juice
½
a lemon
4 tablespoons
olive oil


Put the herbs, peppercorns and salt in the bottom half of the Flavour Shaker™. Drop the ball in and screw the top on tightly. Shake for 30 seconds then add the garlic, lemon zest and juice and olive oil. Screw the top back on and shake for another 20 seconds or until the mixture is fully blended.

Serving suggestion:

Lovely poured over a whole goat's cheese before baking it until golden brown. Also fantastic for marinating fish or meat before cooking.
